Local Authority Social Work Services (LASWS) Census
The LASWS census gathers comparable workforce information from all 32 Scottish local authorities’ social work services each December (for a single reference date). It captures headcount and WTE by post type/grade, vacancies, starters/leavers and workforce characteristics (e.g., demographics), and feeds into SSSC official statistics and workforce planning outputs.
